The value of career networking has never been greater, as an ABC report shows 80 percent of today’s jobs go to candidates through an internal connection or network referral. Fast Forward — a CampusTap partner providing students and alumni resources and insight to pursue fulfilling, passion-based careers — is hosting an interactive event taking career networking to exponentially more impactful heights.

On Friday, April 7th from 5 to 9:30 p.m. at District Hall, “X” by Fast Forward will bring together student leaders, university staff and faculty, industry leaders, and musicians from across Massachusetts for a night of interactive performances, keynotes from some of the most influential innovators, and flash talks on different career paths and global megatrends.

With the event fast approaching, Fast Forward has openings for student leaders looking to attend the next-generation career networking program.

The “X” event will spotlight careers and trends related to climate change and sustainability, healthcare and STEM, and will provide a glimpse of what the future of these industries could look like, and how students can engage and make a difference. Several Boston organizations, such as Pricewatherhouse Coopers, EyeWire and MassChallenge, will host “Xperience” rooms to educate students about their culture and what they do.

“X” by Fast Forward will also boast an exciting cast of guests, including Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, Boston Chief of Staff Daniel Koh, National and Northeast Leadership representatives from Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and MassChallenge Boston Managing Director Scott Bailey. CampusTap will also be in attendance, as well as representatives from innovative organizations such as Neuroelectrics, MC10, and VRPhysio.

For those interested in attending, the cost of admission to the “X” by Fast Forward career networking event is $50. There are only a few tickets remaining. If you are or know a student interested in attending or learning more, please contact Pichon Duplan (pduplan@pressff.com) or Tucker Matheson (tmatheson@pressff.com).
